With direct selling, your purpose is to expand your customer base and recruit futher sales people. You need to widen your circle of influence. One of the ways of doing this is to make yourself more visible. Many direct selling companies do little if any media advertising. Word of mouth, referrals, parties and showcases become the vehicles of extending the sphere of influence.
You can create opportunities for yourself by participating in events where you can get greater exposure for yourself and your products to a wider range of people. Select a venue where you are likely to attract people who will need your products.
Here are a number of examples:
*Bridal Fairs - cosmetics, glassware, costume jewellery
*School Parent Teacher Associations - encyclopedias, children's books, children's toys & children's clothes
*School Carnivals - same as above
*Agricultural Shows - nutritional products, household products
*Social Clubs (in Corporations) - cosmetics, jewellery
Check with your Corporate Head Office before you embark on outside marketing exhibitions. If your project is within the Corporate culture, they will support you with brochures, extra display material and company props.

Perhaps we can all join heads and come up with other ideas to get our products out there?![/i]
