OK I dont usually blurt out my problems. But I just wanted to know is there anyone out there that has had a c section only to find they have problems with there scar months down the track????

Also has anyone ever had a bad reaction to paw paw ointment??

Let me tell you what happened to me just incase i can help prevent you from having the same dramas.

I had an emergancy c section 19 mths ago. It healed but i always felt it wasnt quite right. Anyhow i split the middle section while showering OUCH!!!! I ended up having to attend the doctors daily to have the wound washed down with saline and bettadine. That was a month ago. It healed but DOH I had run out of the cream the doc had told me to keep putting on it so i put paw paw ointment on it figuring that it was meant to be natural etc. WRONG!! I had a BAD reaction to it and ended up blistering like as in a burn!!!! Since researching paw paw ointment i find it is the petroleum that i am allergic to. I got like a burst vein happening on the tum as well and now the blister has burst the pain......well i cant tell you how bad this hurt...i am now having daily dressings again with gello net. Stuff they put on burns!!! I have definately seen better days LOL!!!!!

But in researching i found another woman had put paw paw ointment on her son and it caused welts!!!! When she contacted the lucas company they said it had petroleum in it but werent obliged by law to put it on the labelling!!! How wrong is that?? I since find alot of creams have a liquid paraffin which is part way to being the same thing. EEK

Just wanted to make others aware that something supposedly so harmless can do alot of damage.

Oh My Snazza,

Unbelievable...your scar should have fdefinately healed 19 months post op....not good....keep the daily dressings up as needed and try to get on top of that wound...(not literlally..!!),,,otherwise you will still have problems a long time down the track....
As for the paw paw cream....God what you think is natural...NOT..wow...we just never know what we are putting on ourselves...sorry to heal you have had such problems...
